ATMATA is a mixture of both hardware and software technologies that create together a wonderful system. ATMATA helps its end users make their life easier by turning their preexisting homes into smart homes. It simply does two things, measuring and acting; it measures the electrical consumption of each device at home, and it acts according to your preferences. ATMATA makes people more aware of their own spending and their own carbon footprint. If you do not know what spends more energy, the air conditioner or the electric heater, ATMATA will tell you. If you leave home forgetting electrical devices on, ATMATA will let you know. And more importantly, ATMATA will help you understand and break-down the all-time controversial electricity bill. This is done with the help of simple manufactured gadgets that can be attached to electrical devices and connected to the internet. These gadgets consist of sensors and actuators that help to measure and to act. All the readings and notifications are sent to a simple mobile application where you can see the trends in your electrical consumption. This project has a long roadmap ahead of it. We are trying to start soon with the simplest form of the project and then taking it from there.
