Lina Energy – LE is start-up company in Jordan founded by Eng. Lina AL-Kurdi based on the developments and needs in the Jordanian market. The increased construction projects in Jordan in number and size increases the demand on cooling/heating energy and negatively impact available green spaces in an arid country like Jordan. This where LE green roof sophisticated technology comes to support continues developing in Jordan by solving two main challenges in Jordan –energy and environment- LE green roof, provides developers and buildings owners with the opportunity to restore lost green spaces to construction project and to reduce the required cooling/heating energy consumption. LE green roof increases the value and attractiveness of the property and provides many benefits for its inhabitants, such as enhancing the microclimate around LE green roof project which cools and filters the air, restores environment and mitigates greenhouse gasses over its life cycle. LE green roof has larger benefits when implemented on large scales in cities, it reduces urban heat island affect which is challenging in expanding and growing cities as the population keep on increasing and hence its activates. LE green roof has many applications and uses despite of it sophistication LE green roof system is very flexible. Roof owners don’t have to choose between installing LE green roof and other roof systems as LE green roof is design in the way to be in consistence with these systems and installing LE green roof under photovoltaic system increase its efficiency up to 3% and elongates its life and lowers required PV maintenance. It has the same impact on the roofs.
